Oreck Vacuum Cleaners
Oreck Corporation began as a company manufacturing upright vacuum cleaners for the hotel industry in the U.S. in 1963. The concept was to design a lightweight yet powerful and durable vacuum that hotel housekeepers would prefer to the very heavy models available to them. The idea proved so successful that now over 50,000 hotels throughout the world use Oreck vacuums. After a short time, hotel personnel asked to buy the machines for their own use, which gave the Oreck Corporation the idea to sell its unique products to the general public.
Most oreck resedential vacuum cleaners come equipted with one motor, enabling them to be very light weight. The light weight vacuums cleaners are great if you have a small living area or a hotel to clean. The lightweight vacuum is also ideal if you have trouble handeling you current vacuum cleaner. The oreck lightweight vacuum cleaner is only 8 pounds and glides across you rug very easily.
Other oreck commercial upright vacuum cleaners do have two motors. One motor drives the power nozzle and the other motor creates the suction. The two motor vacuum is a little heavier, but has a better cleaning performance than the one motor vacuum. Some commercial vacuums also come integrated with a hose, extension wand, and on board tools, which is ideal for hotels and offices.

The Oreck Halo vacuum cleaner features two powerful motors. The first motor drives the powerful roller brush that agitates the carpet, bringing debris and germs up and exposing them to the UV-C light that can kill them. The second motor generates incredible suction; dirt and microbes are quickly trapped inside the HEPA13 filter bag.
The Oreck Halo vacuum cleaner picks up dirt and debris in virtually one pass, and works great on any floor surface - carpet, tile, even hardwood floors. The attachments, including a hose that extends 13 feet, easily lock into place and lets you clean those hard to reach places like stairs, drapes, upholstery, and corners. And with a flick of a button, the roller brush engages or disengages, allowing you to seamlessly go from carpets to bare floors. The comfortable grip and telescoping handle with power button make it a cinch to turn on and operate. It’s also simple to turn the UV-C light on and off, and the Oreck Halo nameplate on the face of the vacuum glows blue to let you know that it’s on.
